Actually
The bipolar weather as of late has made it altogether safer to remain indoors in the late afternoons. After a successful day of job hunting Nic and I decided to explore Millennia Walk which pays homage to lovely boutique shops minus the crowd. Really, its severely underrated, but that being said i hope it continues to stay that way hehe. After having a ham croissant at Joe & Dough (the best things there are the sun dried tomato sandwich, $8, and the coffee) i was incredibly surprised to see that BooksActually had opened an outlet here. Its fantastic news, since the Yong Siak outlet can be a tad inaccessible at times. This interior was so warm and inviting; you'll see below ☺
Not to sound biased or anything but the best book in there has to be "Love is an empty barstool" by (Ms) Pooja Nansi, who was my literature/drama teacher. I did actually read all the poems in there, and it played on my heartstrings like a well-seasoned harp.
We popped by HIC marketplace well known for their juices, as well as Allscript. Kinfolk, Frankie and all the other lovely lovely paper magazines are at the top of my wish list right now; i think i'll probably splurge on a copy when i get my pay check at the end of the month.
Cheers to more Starbucks 1 for 1 promotions. The Chestnut Praline Latte is exactly how i like my coffee; not sweet at all but flavourful.
