I love family birthdays. 

It means going out as a family, having a great meal whilst savouring a good conversation.

The Fabulous Baker Boy was our destination this time, and the lovely glassy interior with fresh flowers on the table made the experience a lambent one. 

I would recommend the prawn pasta and the cakes; sadly the breakfast sets we had (Tow Kay Benedict/ the Champion breakfast) fell a little short of expectations. The best eggs benny award still goes to 40hands after all this time, much applause. 

PS. Aren't the cake displays simply fabulous?
