Taiwan Lovin: 九份

Chinese was never my forte but i was ecstatic all the same to be able to travel to Taiwan with my aunt.
The weather is perfect for tourists: a comfortable 17-29 degrees and the food oh so good.

It seems like everyone is going to Taiwan on holiday these days, but none of my friends went on tour like i did. Taiwan is actually a very tourist friendly country, and the people (most of them have a rough understanding of english too) in general are happy to help lost-looking tourists.

We went to the JiuFen) old street which i consider a small Chinese haji lane with lots of shopping and eateries for low prices. It was once a gold mining centre but is now speckled with shophouses. Their leather products especially are comparatively cheap, and the puppies adorning each store front are such a gimmick. It automatically makes each store that much more approachable(:

Taiwan food guide (in order):
Lu Rou Fan ($2) and Yu Yuan Tang ($2.30) featuring five different types of home-made meat balls.
Glass Caramelised Candy ($0.50)
Deep Fried Giant Prawn balls ($1.60)
