Mother's Day; These Lips Dont Lie
As a child, i would watch enthralled as my mother daubed her lips with bright red lipstick, adorn her ears with chandelier earrings and try on lovely dresses that gently skimmed the floor for her company dinners. It was only last saturday that my mother gave me my first tube of red lipstick from Maybelline (No.615; Summer Sunset) that i realised how much time had actually passed. She is the lovely lady who gave me everything; the most obvious being my face shape.
I feel like Mothers are a variation of a superhero. The amount of things they are expected to do is, quite frankly, ridiculous. God knows my future husband shouldn't expect me to cook clean work and raise a child while keeping my hair and make up in check.
After a somewhat valiant effort in the kitchen (refer below; chocolate fudge cupcakes, white rose tea cake) and an afternoon making a card for Mom, i truly hope that she'll be pleasantly surprised on Mothers Day. I secretly went through her closet and tried on her amazing avant garde pieces.. She has great taste. Now who said you can't dress out of your mother's closet?☺
