Blow a kiss, fire a gun/ the raniest passing out parade
It poured so hard at 7am today morning. Really, you'd think that God was restarting the whole story on Noah's Ark. A couple of ponchos, two umbrellas and a couple of umbrella selfies later (thankfully), we managed to sit out the terrific storm alongside the rest of the families and friends.
Seeing my friends undergo this rite of passage as Singaporean boys (to men) stirred up something heartwarming. It was also surprising to see a lot of old mates at the bay area; I met my photography society pal Daryl and even reunited with old secondary one classmates.
After everything, today taught me to count my blessings. It was the first parade this year to pour like it did, and i know that because my instagram feed was always filled with sun laden photos from the various pop-s. But the weather after the rain was kind of perfect, and seeing everyone made up for the lack of warmth from the weather. All thanks be to God. X
