We are Golden
I wanted to tell you. I wanted to tell you about how I know that in ten years down the road, we probably won't be as close anymore and things may become awkward between us. But above all that I want you to know that I deeply appreciate the time we've spent together as friends and right now, treasure the present bond we share.
I texted a friend this after a period of self reflection. I think by now it has hit most of us that most relationships don't truly last a lifetime. Friends lose contact or argue, couples get hurt and break up, people change and grow apart. So if everything we have now is temporal, I'm guessing we should cherish every person we have right now- everyone we're texting, calling or thinking about. Because in ten years time who knows where we'll be? I sure know that I'm not speaking to anyone from ten years ago.
To all of my special someones: thank you for making me feel golden.
