Digital Fashion Week!
Its not often that i get completely thrown off by a question.
And yet, that was exactly what happened when Jemma James Wei (one of my favourite bloggers! check her out here.) asked me which was my better side. I mean.. what on earth does a better side mean? "I'm sorry what?" Jemma graciously taught me my first lesson at Digital Fashion Week; you're usually asked that question by a photographer to know if your left or right side of the face is better for shooting. // Note to self, it's the right!!
Aside from that embarrassing situation, DFW was the first major fashion show i attended and the first time i walked a red carpet. It was absolutely spectacular, and throughout the whole event a tiny voice at the back of my mind kept going 'ohmygod is this truly happening?' All this was possible only because sweet Lyd surprised me with tickets the day before: i love you babe!(;We were invited to watch Melissa Koh's show for her new fashion label, Run After, currently retailing on Zalora. The show started with a contemporary dance, followed by a folksy live band as models headed by the elusive Andrea Chong came down the runway.
The show was one word: ethereal. The models didn't strut; they glided. The fabrics fluttered and swayed, and the dancer gracefully tossed blushing roses all over the runway. It complemented Melissa's feminine line to perfection; filled with soft silhouettes, petal inspired textures and the occasional geometric for that hint of edge.I heart you fashion week, may we meet again next year.
