you know its expensive when there are wine glasses on the tables/ Canopy

If i had to pick a cafe/restaurant with the loveliest ambience, it would be Canopy. Truth to God, i've given up on finding cafe food that lives up to its price; though that's probably just my mum's phenomenal cooking speaking. Plus her meals don't cost me $18 per plate excluding GST & service charge. Well, I guess the ambience is really all I'm paying for, isn't it? But i digress.
Canopy is situated in the middle of Bishan Park II, which is a complete and utter headache for Easties (holla!) to get to unless you're armed with Google maps, or if you're lucky a geographically-inclined friend (Nic) who will guide you there. I believe that part of its charm lies precisely in the fact that it's in a park; greenery sprawling all around you.

Canopy was swanky. The al fresco garden dining area looked like a resort by day, and i can just imagine it lit up at night with fairy lights- gorgeous! However, since it was 34 degrees out and we weren't prepared to sweat our faces off, we opted for indoor dining instead which was enchanting all the same. You really can't go wrong with floor to ceiling glass windows. Marshal, Nic and i ordered the Eggs Royale ($16), Eggs Supreme ($19), Carbonara ($18), Apple Crumble ($14) and Latte ($5). Yes, it was massively overpriced (nothing compared to PS though!), and No, we won't be eating out for a while.

It amazes me how quickly time passes; its already ebbing to the end of June which means half the year has gone by. Or in my case, half a year of zero-obligationary holidays. Let us spend the rest of the day in self reflection about how we've made the most of it. X
